New organizer kickback
Every new organization on Jambo gets 50% of the service fee back on its ticket sales for its first 60 days. It's our way of helping you get started, and there's nothing to apply for.
How it works
Your 60-day kickback period starts the moment you create your organization in the Jambo Dash.
During that period, every time someone buys paid tickets to one of your organization's events, Jambo sends 50% of the service fee from that purchase back to your organization. This happens automatically, shortly after each purchase.
For example, if a buyer pays $3.00 in service fees on their order, $1.50 of it comes back to you.
The kickback is on top of your normal earnings. It doesn't change your ticket prices, and buyers pay the same service fee they always would.
What counts is when the ticket is sold, not when the event happens. A ticket sold on day 59 earns the kickback, even if the event is months away.
What you need
Set up payouts before you start selling. The kickback is sent to your organization's payout account. If your payouts aren't set up when a ticket sells, there's nowhere to send the kickback, and it's skipped for that sale. You'd need payouts set up to sell paid tickets anyway. See the Setting up payouts guide.
Sell paid tickets. Free tickets don't have a service fee, so they don't earn a kickback.
Tracking your kickback
To see how much an event has earned, open the event in the Dash and go to its Overview tab.
Once the event has earned a kickback, you'll see:
- A Jambo Kickback total next to your other sales numbers
- A Jambo kickback line in the Financial Breakdown, added on top of Your earnings
