you've created your event, sold tickets, and now it's getting close to show time! managing ticket scanners to allow your staff to scan tickets for your event, you must first add their jambo accounts as ticket scanners to manage ticket scanners, go to the event's host page in the jambo dash click the orange ticket scanners button in the host's details area this will show you all of the existing scanners for this host and allow you to modify them create a new ticket scanner to add a new ticket scanner, click the orange add button in the ticket scanners popup the jambo app is used for scanning tickets from any mobile device there is no extra hardware required! enter your scanner's jambo username or their phone number and press add if you entered a jambo username or a phone number of a user that already has an account, their account is added and their username will show in the ticket scanners list if you entered a phone number, but there is no account with that phone number yet, their phone number will be added to the scanners list once that phone number signs up for jambo, their new account will be automatically given scanning privileges jambo will not text or otherwise notify invited phone numbers as scanners please notify your staff to sign up for jambo in order to scan tickets scanning for other events when you add ticket scanners on jambo, you add them to the host and not the event this means those users will be able to scan any event hosted by that host or other events taking place at that venue this allows you to set up your staff once for your host rather than for each event if the venue is different from the host, they can have their own scanners to help with the traffic delete a ticket scanner to remove a user from being able to scan tickets for your host, click the red trash can icon next to their username or phone number this will immediately revoke the scanning privilege from their jambo app for any events at this host scanning tickets let's get your customers in the door as smooth as possible! first, have all of your ticket scanners download the jambo app and sign into their account there is only one jambo app, and it is used for everything from finding events and buying tickets to scanning them on the jambo app, navigate to the event's page tap the ⋮ icon in the top right, and tap the scan tickets option the scan tickets option will only show for users that are on the ticket scanners list for the host or venue of the event your phone will now turn into the ticket scanner for the event! when a user shows you their ticket, point the camera at it and wait for a vibration once the ticket is scanned, the status and type of the ticket will be shown on your screen if the scanner shows green green for the ticket, that means you've just successfully scanned it for the first time if the scanner shows orange orange for the ticket, that means their ticket is valid but has already been scanned before it's up to you whether to admit them or not if the scanner shows red red for the ticket, that means either the ticket is invalid or they're showing you a ticket for the wrong event if group ticketing is allowed for the event, the customer might show you a single code that represents their whole group when scanning this ticket, multiple ticket types and statuses will be reported on your screen if they're all green, let their whole group in to accelerate their entry! the previously scanned ticket will stay on the scanner's screen until you tap on it or scan the next ticket your phone will vibrate every time a ticket is scanned viewing and managing attendees in the jambo dash, you can view all of your attendees and ticket holders go to your event's page in the jambo dash click on the attendees tab click on the all tickets section of the table you will be able to see how many tickets have been acquired for the event, how much each user paid for their ticket (in case prices changed over time, or they were complimentary), and the status of each ticket if the ticket's status is ready to scan, ready to scan, they haven't been scanned yet if the ticket's status is used used , they've scanned their ticket and it will show you what time marking tickets as scanned if a customer's ticket has been used externally or you want to prevent them from being able to scan it, you can mark a ticket as scanned in the jambo dash click the actions dropdown for that particular ticket click mark as scanned the user's ticket now behaves like it was previously scanned, and will show as used the next time it's scanned marking tickets as unscanned if a customer's ticket has been scanned already and you want to allow them to scan it again, you can mark tickets as unscanned in the jambo dash click the actions dropdown for that particular ticket click mark as unscanned the user's ticket now behaves like it was never scanned before, and will show as unused the next time it's scanned
