Once your event's details and tickets are ready, publish it so people can find it and get tickets.

# Event statuses

The status is shown next to the event's name at the top of its page in the Jambo Dash.

- **Draft**: the event isn't published yet. Nobody can see it or buy tickets. Every new, duplicated or imported event starts here.
- **Live**: the event is published and visible on Jambo.
- **Finalized**: the event is over and its earnings have been paid out. It can no longer be edited.

# Publishing an event

1. Open the event in the Jambo Dash
2. Check the **Details** and **Ticketing** tabs one last time
3. Click **Publish** next to the event's name

Your event is now live on Jambo.

If your event has tickets but nobody has been added as a ticket scanner yet, the Dash warns you with **Nobody can scan tickets yet**. Ticket holders show a QR code at the door, and someone needs to scan it with the Jambo app. You can click **Publish anyway** and add scanners any time before doors open, or click **Go back** to set them up first. See the **Scanning tickets** guide.

Messages to attendees are never sent while an event is a draft, including automatic reminders. If a scheduled message's time arrives before you publish, it's marked **Skipped** on the **Messaging** tab and isn't sent later. Publish before your first message is due.

A published event can't be turned back into a draft from the Dash. If you need to cancel or take down a published event, contact us at [support@jambo.app](mailto\:support@jambo.app).

# Where attendees find your event

Once it's live, your event appears:

- In the [Jambo app](https://jmbo.app/download), where people can discover it by location, date and search
- On your host's page, and on the venue's page if the venue is a different host
- On the web, so people without the app can view the event and buy tickets

To see what attendees see, click **View on Jambo** at the top of the event's page. This opens the event's public web page.

Private events are the exception. They don't appear in search or on public pages, and can only be opened with a direct link. See the **Creating an event** guide.

# Sharing your event

1. Open the event in the Jambo Dash
2. Click **Share** at the top right

You'll get a short link and a QR code. The link opens the event in the Jambo app if the person has it installed, and on the web if they don't. Link previews show your event's name, host and cover image.

Put the link in your social bios, posts and emails, and print the QR code on flyers and posters.

If you see "Couldn't generate link for this content," try turning off your ad blocker and clicking **Share** again.

# After your event

When your event ends, it moves from **Pre-Event** to **Post-Event** in the **Account Status** box on the **Overview** tab. You have until 3 days after the event ends to finalize any refunds.

Shortly after that, Jambo finalizes the event: your earnings and any pay splits are paid out, and the event is locked. A finalized event can't be edited, and you can't send new messages or create new posts for it. See the **Event overview** guide.
