Your profile is how other people find and recognize you on Jambo. Your settings control who can see it, how we reach you, and your account itself.

To open your profile, tap your picture in the bottom right of the app.

# What's on your profile

Your profile shows:

- Your photo, display name, @username, and bio
- How many people you're **Following** and how many **Followers** you have. Tap either number to see the list.
- **Upcoming Events**: events you're interested in or have tickets for
- **Follow Requests**, if your account is private and someone has asked to follow you (only you see these)
- **Activity**: events you've marked as interested and photos you've posted

If an organizer has made you a scanner, your profile also has a **Scanner** card for checking people in at the door. See the **Scanning tickets** guide.

# Editing your profile

1. On your profile, tap **Edit**
2. Make your changes:
   - Tap **Change Photo** to pick a new profile picture from your photo library
   - **Display Name**: up to 50 characters
   - **Bio**: up to 170 characters
3. Tap **Save**

Your username can't be changed.

# Sharing your profile

To invite friends to follow you, tap the **⋮** icon in the top right of your profile and choose **Share**, **Show QR Code**, or **Copy Link**.

# Settings

To open your settings, go to your profile and tap the gear icon in the top right.

## Tickets

- **Purchase History** and **Manage Payment Methods**. See the **Payment methods and purchase history** guide.

## Memberships

- **My Memberships** lists the memberships you have with hosts, where you can show your membership code or cancel. See the **Memberships** guide.

## Jambo Promoter

- **Become a Promoter** (or **Manage Promoter** if you already are one) lets you earn money by sharing events. See the **Jambo Promoter** guide.

## Privacy Settings

- **Private Account**: when this is on, only people whose follow requests you've accepted can see your upcoming events, activity, and follower lists. Everyone can still see your name, photo, and bio.
- **View Blocked People**: see and manage everyone you've blocked. See the **Blocking and reporting** guide.

## Account

- **Email**: the address we send ticket confirmations to. Tap **Change** (or **Add** if you don't have one), enter your email, and tap **Save**.
- **Contact Support**: opens an email to [support@jambo.app](mailto\:support@jambo.app).
- **Log Out**: signs you out of the app on this device. To sign back in, use your phone number.

## Legal

- View our **Privacy Policy** and **Terms of Service**.

## Delete Account

- Permanently deletes your account. See the **Deleting an account** guide.

# Private accounts

Turn on **Private Account** if you only want people you approve to see what you're up to.

When your account is private:

- New followers have to send a request. They'll see a **Request** button on your profile instead of **Follow**.
- Requests appear on your profile under **Follow Requests**. Tap **Accept** or **Decline**.
- People who don't follow you see "This user is private." in place of your events and activity.

:::hint{type="warning"}
Even with a private account, you still appear in the list of people interested in an event. If you'd rather not be listed, remove your interest from that event.

# Notifications and texts

## Push notifications

Jambo sends push notifications for things like updates from organizers about events you're interested in or have tickets for. The app asks for permission when you mark an event as interested or buy tickets.

To turn push notifications on or off, use your phone's notification settings for the Jambo app.

## Text messages

We text you:

- Verification codes when you sign in
- A link to your tickets after you buy them
- Updates from an event's organizer, if you're interested in the event or have tickets

Organizers can only send you **promotional** texts about an event if you checked **Send me promotional texts about this event** when you got tickets. See the **Buying tickets** guide.
