Running events is rarely a one-person job. Add your coworkers to your organization in the Jambo Dash so everyone can work on the same hosts and events, each with their own login.

You'll find your team on the **Team** page in the left sidebar. It lists everyone in your organization, their role, and any invites that haven't been accepted yet.

Team members are people who use the Dash. To let your door staff scan tickets in the Jambo app, add them as ticket scanners instead. They don't need to be on your team. See the **Scanning tickets** guide.

# Roles

Everyone on your team is either an **Owner** or a **Member**.

|                                                  | Member | Owner |
| ------------------------------------------------ | ------ | ----- |
| Create and edit hosts and events | Yes | Yes |
| Manage ticketing, attendees, and ticket scanners | Yes | Yes |
| See who's on the team                            | Yes    | Yes   |
| Set up and manage payouts | No | Yes |
| Invite, edit, and remove team members | No | Yes |

**Members** can do the day-to-day work of running events. They don't see **Payouts** in the sidebar, and the **Team** page is view-only for them.

**Owners** can do everything a member can, plus handle the money and the team. Whoever creates the organization is its first owner. Only make someone an owner if you trust them with your payout details and your team.

An organization can have more than one owner, and must always have at least one.

# Inviting a team member

Only owners can invite people.

1. Go to the **Team** page
2. Click **Invite Member**
3. Enter their **Email**
4. Choose a **Role**: **Member** or **Owner**
5. Click **Invite**

They'll get an email with a link to accept. Until they do, they show in your team list with an **Invited** badge. If the invite runs out before they accept it, the badge changes to **Invite Expired**.

The invite has to be accepted within 48 hours, and they need to sign in with the same email address you invited. If they don't have a Dash account yet, they can create one from the invite link. See the **Signing up for the Dash** guide.

## Cancelling or resending an invite

If someone didn't get the email, or their invite expired, open the actions menu next to the invite and choose **Resend Invitation**. They'll get a fresh email, and they have another 48 hours to accept.

To cancel an invite, open the actions menu next to it, choose **Cancel Invitation**, and confirm.

# Changing someone's role

1. On the **Team** page, open the actions menu next to the team member
2. Click **Edit**
3. Choose a new **Role** and click **Save**

You can't change the role of the only owner. Make someone else an owner first. If you try, you'll see a **Role Update Failed** message.

# Removing a team member

1. On the **Team** page, open the actions menu next to the team member
2. Click **Delete** and confirm

They lose access to your organization in the Dash right away. Hosts and events they worked on stay with your organization.

You can't remove the only owner of an organization. If you try, you'll see a **Remove Failed** message. To hand an organization over to someone else, make them an owner first, then remove the old owner.

# Frequently Asked Questions

:::ExpandableHeading
## Can I be on more than one team?

Yes. You can be a member of several organizations. Switch between them by clicking your name in the top right corner of the Dash and picking an organization under **Organizations**.
:::

:::ExpandableHeading
## I got an "Invitation Failed" message. What happened?

The message under it says why. The most common reasons are:

- **User is already a member of this organization**: they're already on your team.
- **User is already invited to this organization**: there's already an invite waiting for them. Use **Resend Invitation** on that invite instead.

:::ExpandableHeading
## I'm a member. How do I invite someone?

Ask an owner of your organization. You can see who the owners are in the **Role** column on the **Team** page.
