Jambo's Promoter feature allows hosts to distribute marketing efforts for their events by offering a commission to users in exchange for promoting ticket sales.

This gives them the opportunity to sell more tickets to events without having to directly manage, or even interact with, Promoters.

# How does it work?

When you share an event from the Jambo app, the link that gets created is tied to your user profile. This allows us to measure where a user is coming from when they use the app or website.

If a user purchases a ticket after clicking on one of your links, we can attribute that sale to you. If the tickets purchased have a Promoter Offer, you will receive the offer amount for each of those tickets, minus Jambo's service fee. You can't earn commission on your own purchases.

Hosts can set a Promoter Offer for a particular ticket type in the Jambo Dash. For example: For a $10 ticket, a host might decide they're willing to give $2 for each ticket a Promoter can sell.

When you become a Promoter, you will be able to browse upcoming events with Promoter Offers near a location you choose. You can choose which events you want to promote, and share the links or QR codes in any way that works best for you.

# Frequently Asked Questions

## Why do you need my personal information?

We collect the minimum amount of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) that is required for us to legally and responsibly pay each promoter.

There are certain thresholds where we may have to collect extra information from certain Promoters depending on their commission volume and other variables. We will notify you if and when we need more information from you.

In order to stay compliant, we reserve the right to pause payouts or commission for accounts that do not provide the information we require to stay in good standing.

## How does Jambo decide who gets commission?

In any given session, the most recently used link will determine who the sale gets attributed to.

For example, consider this scenario:

- User clicks **Promoter A**'s link for an event
- User clicks **Promoter B**'s link for an event
- User finally buys a ticket

Since **Promoter B** was the most recently used link, they will receive the commission.

If the user clicks on a Promoter's link, browses around the app, then comes back to the event, that still counts as the "most recent link" and the sale will be attributed to them.

If more than about 30 minutes pass between the Promoter's link being used and a ticket being purchased, the sale may be unattributed.

## How does the money get split?

Jambo only takes a 10% service fee off of the Promoter Offer for applicable sales. This means that the remaining 90% gets paid directly to the Promoter responsible for the sale.

If a ticket type has a Promoter Offer but the sale is not attributed to a Promoter, the host keeps the full amount.

Without a Promoter Offer on a ticket type, the ticket price goes to the host, minus any pay splits the host has set up.
