Found an event you want to go to? You can get tickets in the Jambo app or on the Jambo website. Either way, your tickets end up in the same Jambo account.

# Getting tickets in the app

1. Open the event's page
2. Tap **Get Tickets**
3. Choose how many of each ticket type you want using the **+** and **−** buttons
4. Tap **Review Tickets**
5. Check your order, then tap **Continue to Payment Method**
6. Choose a saved card, add a new card, or use Apple Pay on iPhone, and confirm the payment

Once your payment goes through, you'll see **Your tickets have been reserved.** and a **View my tickets** button appears at the top of the event's page.

Some events charge a cover instead of selling tickets. For these, the button says **Pay for Cover** instead of **Get Tickets**. Everything else works the same way.

## Free tickets

If your order is free, there's no payment step. On the review screen, tap **Reserve Tickets** and the tickets are added to your account right away.

# Getting tickets on the website

1. Open the event's page on [jambo.app](https://jambo.app)
2. Click **Get Tickets**
3. If you aren't signed in, you'll be asked to log in or create an account with your phone number (see the **Creating an account** guide)
4. Choose how many of each ticket type you want, then click **Review Tickets**
5. Check your order, then click **Continue to Payment Method**
6. Enter your payment details and click **Complete Purchase**

When you see **You've got tickets!**, you're all set. You can open your tickets from the event's page, or from **My Events** on the website. See the **Your tickets** guide.

# Choosing ticket types

Events can have several ticket types, such as General Admission, VIP, or Early Bird. Each one shows its price (or **Free**) and, if the organizer added one, a description of what's included.

A ticket type you can't buy right now shows a label instead of the quantity buttons:

- **Sold Out**: there are none left
- **Not Open Yet**: sales haven't started yet. Check back later.
- **Closed**: sales for this ticket type have ended

You can mix ticket types in one order. Some ticket types come with extra bonus tickets, like a drink ticket with each VIP ticket. Bonus tickets are added to your account automatically.

You can have up to 100 tickets per event, counting tickets you already have.

# What you pay

The review screen shows a full breakdown before you pay:

- The price of each ticket type you picked
- **Service Fee**: Jambo's fee, which is 7% of the ticket price plus $1.79 per paid ticket, rounded to the nearest cent. Free tickets don't add to the fee, so free orders have no service fee.
- **Sales Tax**: calculated based on where the event takes place
- **Total**: the amount you'll be charged

There are no surprise fees after this screen. The total you see is what you pay.

Your card statement will show the charge as **Jambo Tickets**.

# Promotional texts

On the review screen, you can check **Send me promotional texts about this event** if you want the organizer to be able to text you offers and updates about this event. It's optional and only applies to this one event.

# After you buy

As soon as your order is complete:

- We text you a link to your tickets
- If your account has an email address, we email you a confirmation with a QR code for each ticket, an **Add to Google Calendar** link, and a calendar file you can open in any calendar app
- The event is added to **Upcoming Events** on your profile, and you're marked as interested in it

To learn how to find and use your tickets, see the **Your tickets** guide.

## Can I get a refund?

Refunds are issued by the event's organizer, so reach out to them directly. If they refund a ticket, you get back the ticket price and the sales tax you paid on it. The service fee isn't refunded.
